Private listing

For deals you get outside the MLS: wholesalers, agents, pocket listings. The deal shows as available at this price, whatever the MLS says, until a Redfin download shows it sold after the date you add it. Then it becomes Unavailable.

Import Redfin downloads

Keeps your sales database current: sold homes for comps, homes for sale, and listing changes on your deals. Each download is saved, so everyone with access sees the same data.

  1. Search on redfin.com. Type a city or ZIP, or draw an area on the map. Set Home type (houses, townhomes, condos).
  2. Pick what to pull. For comps: Sold with a time window (for example last 6 months). For listings: For sale, which includes active, coming soon and pending/contingent.
  3. Download. Switch the results to the list or table view, scroll to the bottom and click Download All. You get a CSV of up to 350 homes.
  4. More than 350 homes? Redfin cuts the download at 350. Split the search into smaller areas or price bands (for example under $1M, $1–2M, over $2M) and download each one.
  5. Drop every CSV here at once. Homes are matched by Redfin's property number. New homes are added, changed ones are updated, and your deals are checked: sold or pending/contingent deals become Unavailable, a pending deal that changes status is flagged, a Failed deal whose price drops to its Re-Certify @ is flagged, and a private listing only becomes Unavailable when it sold after you added it.

Rentals in a download are skipped for now; rental comps come later. Tip: after the first big pull, short windows keep it current with fewer files, for example homes sold in the last week and new for-sale listings for the areas you work.
